Rangoon released on 24th February 2017 is enjoying the benefit of having a big solo release, Yes, definitely two other Hindi films have released along with this one but still, it managed to grab maximum attention from audiences as the director Vishal Bhardwaj is again back with his terrific and unique storytelling style with gripping content. The film is performing on the decent basis at Indian box office counters.

Also, it is highly promoted at many big shows and events. This is one of the most awaited films of Shahid Kapoor after Haider where he gave terrific performance winning best male lead actor at Filmfare award. So, again the duo Jodi of actor-director is expected to make a bang at Box Office.

As coming on to the business done by Rangoon on Friday, giving pretty decent performance it witnessed an occupancy rate of around 30-35% all Indian theatres whereas the opening shows made 15% poor opening in morning shows. It is estimated to be made on a budget of 70 crores, the film needs to perform well on the 1st weekend.

Rangoon 1st day box office collection in India brought 7.80 crores which si said to be a decent business for the film [early estimates]. It was expected to make huge but stood on average level. As it was Mahashivrati, a partial holdiday it grabbed this following profit in India. It made around 2.15 crores from overseas market gathering it worldwide gross at Rs 13.07 crores. The film should make a good weekend over 30 crores and should at least make a lifetime of 85 crores to be a HIT Movie in terms of Box Office Hit or Flop Verdict.

Well, Friday Business was decent for Rangoon. Lets hope for the best on Saturdays and Sundays.
