As per movie buzz and (International Business Times), “Killing Veerappan” accumulates Rs 10 crore box office collection in 1st weekend itself which is excellent as per Kannada Film Industry. The good opening on Friday which continued same response on Saturday (2nd day) and Sunday (3rd day) helped the film grossed this fantastic profit. Shivaraj Kumar starrer had great weekend at box office with early first day BOC states Rs 4.50 crore.

The movie is set to release in Telugu version on 7th of January 2016. It has also schedule to release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil languages. The stupendous business of 10 crore in first weekend gives positive note in New Year 2016. The film released on 1st January 2016 in Kannada version but Telugu version was postpones on 7th January 2016 for some internal issue. As per Ibtimes, the film hit 200 screens in Karnataka with 90 shows in Bengaluru. The movie first day shows were packed and house full all the day.

Coming on to occupancy rate, the film attracted 70-80% audience at cinema first day shows and 65% as per whole state consideration. The competitive film “Masterpiece” let the movie earned less profit otherwise, it would have done much better business than the current figures.

Kannada version has got good reviews on first day itself from critics as well as audience coming out of theatres. Shivanna’s coffee mug pose has gone viral and many other celebrities posed with a mug and posted on Twitter. The reason behind earing such collection is the motion picture has already created a lot of buzz where film director Ram Gopal Varma has become talk of the town.

Shivaraj Kumar and Ram Gopal Varma’s were in great need of a big hit at cinemas and this motion picture gave them a relief. Film has Shiva Rajkumar as STF Cop, Sandeep Bharadwaj as forest brigand, Parul Yadav as Shreya (Informer) and Yajna Shetty as Muthulakshmi in key roles.
